Early supers were notorious for developing a death wobble in the front end - bracing between the strut towers would correct it (I had a '71 in '77 that did this - replaced bushings, bearings, struts, had the wheels balanced - nothing cured it but bracing between the towers to the tub). I also believe that the standards got single port engines (at least through '72) while the supers got dual port.

welp i took some time and redid my bug again.... here it is getting ready for june bug tomorrow....
