I had to purchase a new pad, the one the company sent me was huge and thick foam... I ended up shelling out the cash to get the horsehair sym. But the new pad envelope thing came in vinyl, Is that typical?. They said you will not see it. Much better quality than what the original company sent me. And they said you wouldn't see it. Any thoughts??? oh I am using a cloth top.

Shouldn't see any of it, should all be between the top and the headliner. Not a huge fan of the foam pads.

Yah... :D I got the headliner and padding on. I ended up putting a rivet in the back corner panels at the top. To try to see if it would help not seeing how dirty the inside gets from rubbing against the rods & mechanisms.? We'll see.
