i'm a mechanic and i recommend not. yes it will work and i've done it on my own personal beaters just cause i'm lazy sometimes

but the correct was is to take it to a shop and have them pull a vacuum on the system, inject oil and dye, and fill the system to the correct fill level.most a/c machines will also perform a leak test. if you use the can and over fill or under fill your a/c will suck. but if you do do that it goes on low side port (it will only fit on one of the fittings). i believe that on your audi it s on the passengers side of your engine bay but not sure. connect it, start the vehicle, turn on the a/c, and turn it to max a/c. check the pressure. on the low side it should be 35 psi. over 45ish is bad and under 25ish is also bad. if over i'd take it to a shop because messing with refridgerant can be dangerous if your not careful when releasing it/its illegal to vent a/c refridgerant to the atmosphere. if it's under, add till you get to 35 psi, and check to see if it's cold.
